Rabbi Shlomo Chein: Welcome. I'll be with you in a moment...what's on your mind?

Mommy2be: What are some standard questions to ask of a potential Mohel?

Rabbi Shlomo Chein: 1) Is he an observant Jew? 2) Does he have a lot of experience? 3) Can he give you references? 4) Does he use a clamp (he shouldn't)?

Mommy2be: Why shouldn't he use a clamp?

Rabbi Shlomo Chein: It is unhealthy and painful.

Mommy2be: Okay, that makes sense. Do you also happen to know of a website which lists Hebrew names that I can choose for my unborn son?

Rabbi Shlomo Chein: Offhand, I don't know of one. Do you know a rabbi in your area?

Mommy2be: I do have my own rabbi, but I keep forgetting to ask him. Thank you so much for your time.

[Ed. note: for help finding a Mohel contact your local Chabad Rabbi - www.chabad.org/centers - or go to www.brityy.org. For a list of Jewish names see here1].
