I do not know the answer to this question. The Rambam writes (Laws of Kings 12:2), "All these things [the events which will occur after the coming of Moshiach] no person knows how they will happen until they happen, for they are hidden [even] from the prophets. Also the sages have no tradition in these matters, they rely only on their interpretation of the verses [which discuss these matters], and therefore have disagreements on these subjects.

In any event, the order how things will unfold and the details are not foundations of our faith. A person should not deeply involve himself with these midrashim..."
