What was the schedule of Adam and Eve's first day of existence?

Rosh Hashanah is a celebration of the day when Adam and Eve were created and chose to recognize the existence of their Creator.


Here's how the Talmud describes that hectic Friday's schedule1:


The day is divided into twelve hours--starting with sunrise and ending with sunset. The first five hours of the day were occupied with the formation and creation of Adam. During the sixth hour he named all the animals. During the seventh hour, Eve was created. Cain and Abel were born during the eighth hour. During the ninth hour Adam was commanded not to eat from the Tree, and during the tenth hour they all transgressed. During the eleventh hour they were judged, and during the twelfth hour -- immediately before Shabbat -- they were banished from the Garden.

The Tree and Adam

Although it is stated that in the ninth hour of the first day Adam & Eve were restricted from eating from The Tree, for how long was that actual restriction in place????

It was to have lasted until the onset of Shabbat -- all of three plus hours!

Shabbat
(pl: Shabbatot). Hebrew word meaning "rest." It is a Biblical commandment to sanctify and rest on Saturday, the seventh day of the week. This commemorates the fact that after creating the world in six days, G-d rested on the seventh.

Rosh Hashanah
The Jewish New Year. An early autumn two day holiday marking the creation of Adam and Eve. On this day we hear the blasts of the ram's horn and accept G-d's sovereignty upon ourselves and the world. On Rosh Hashanah we pray that G-d should grant us all a sweet New Year.
Abel
Second son of Adam and Eve, born on the Sixth day of Creation. Murdered by his older brother Cain.
Adam
The first man, created by G-d on the sixth day of creation. He was banished from the Garden of Eden after eating from the forbidden fruit of the forbidden knowledge. Died in 2830 BCE.
Cain
Eldest son of Adam and Eve, born on the sixth day of creation. When his brother Abel's sacrificial offering was accepted in place of his own, he killed him. He was exiled for this deed.
