I'm trying to become completely kosher, but what if I slip?

G-d understands that and that is why He devised a system of repentance for when we make mistakes so that He could forgive us and so that we can forgive ourselves. The bottom line is we shouldn't live in fear of our mistakes and shouldn't allow our mistakes to rule our lives. We should live in accordance with our goals and aspirations, and if a mistake does occur we deal with it, move on, and learn from the experience. The bottom line is we shouldn't live in fear of our mistakes and shouldn't allow our mistakes to rule our lives That being said, I would still like to point out that Kosher is one Mitzvah wherein it pays to be extra meticulous. “We are what we eat.” The food which we eat becomes integrated into our bodies, becoming part and parcel of our flesh and blood. We can repent for a slip-up and our merciful G-d will surly forgive us—but the spiritually unhealthy foods have already become part of our body.
