Repentance is not about curing your feelings of guilt. It's about being forgiven. When you tell someone "I'm sorry," it's not because you feel bad and want closure, but rather because you hurt someone else and want him to be mollified. If you are still experiencing negative feelings, remember that this only a trick of your Yetzer Hara (animal soul)! The Yetzer Hara wants to get you to feel down and it doesn't care how it accomplishes its goal. So it will even use "spiritual" reasons to get you demoralized (see Tanya Chapter 26). Throw these thoughts out of your mind and go to sleep happily, knowing that G-d has forgiven you!

Yetzer Hara
Evil inclination. Found in the heart of all humans, and also known as the "Animal Soul"; its purpose is to deter a person from following a life of spirituality and selflessness.
G-d
It is forbidden to erase or deface the name of G-d. It is therefore customary to insert a dash in middle of G-d's name, allowing us to erase or discard the paper it is written on if necessary.
