The Jubilee year was only celebrated when all the Jews dwelled in the Land of Israel. Even during the Second Temple Era the Jubilee was not observed because many Jews remained in the Diaspora.1

When the Messiah comes, all the Jews will return to the Land of Israel and we will once again begin counting the years and celebrating the Jubilee
Very soon, when the Messiah comes, all the Jews will return to the Land of Israel and we will once again begin counting the years and celebrating the Jubilee.

Footnotes

  • 1. When the tribe of Reuven, the tribe of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasheh went into exile, the Jubilees were abolished as it is said: "And you should proclaim liberty throughout the Land unto all the inhabitants thereof" [Lev. 25:10] i.e., [only] at the time when all the inhabitants thereof dwell upon it, but not at the time when some of them are exiled.
