Rabbi Latowicz: Welcome. I'll be with you in a moment...

western770: I am wondering which came first, Purim or Chanukah?

Rabbi Latowicz: Purim

Rabbi Latowicz: The story of Chanukah happened during the times of the Second Holy Temple (2nd century BCE.), and Purim occurred between the destruction of the First Temple and the building of the Second Temple (4th century BCE.) when the Jews were exiled under Persian rule.

western770: Okay thanks.

Rabbi Latowicz: Anytime!
