Do children light the Menorah on Chanukah?

Certainly. The word Chanukah is related to the Hebrew word "chinuch," which means education.

Some parents will light the first candle on the Menorah and have the children light the rest of the candles. Others have their children light their own Menorahs.

Either way, make sure to include the kids in all the Chanukah observances. Thereby ensuring that the light of Chanukah passes on to yet another generation.

Chanukah
An eight day mid-winter holiday marking: 1) The miraculous defeat of the mighty Syrian-Greek armies by the undermanned Maccabis in the year 140 BCE. 2) Upon their victory, the oil in the Menorah, sufficient fuel for one night only, burned for eight days and nights.
Menorah
Candelabra. Usually a reference to the nine-branched candelabra kindled on the holiday of Chanukah.
