Rabbi Shlomo Chein: I can give you one reason why a Jew shouldn't eat pork - because G-d said so :-)

We don't yet have a mechanism that allows us to see the soul -- but when we do get one we will see how much harm pork does

MD: she said nothing bad has happened to me because of eating pork though that's probably worng

Rabbi Shlomo Chein: she doesn't know of anything bad that happened just as before xrays people didn't know what bad was happening when they smoked. Then they invented xrays and they could see how terrible it was. We don't yet have a mechanism that can see the soul - but when we do get one we will see how much harm pork does to our soul
