Are bottom feeder fish kosher?

Rabbi Nosson: This is a common misconception. Being a bottom feeder does not make a fish unkosher. Rabbi Nosson: As a matter of fact, gefillte fish is traditionally made from white fish and carp, both bottom feeders. fred: OK, thank you I did not know that.
