Rabbi Velvel: Welcome. Whats on your mind?
shuteye: Why did the Jews oversleep at Matan Torah [Ed. note: Giving of the Torah]?
Rabbi Velvel: Kabbalah explains that when one sleeps his soul leaves his body. The Jews hoped that through sleep they might be able to reach a higher level than when they are awake
shuteye: Oh thanks a bunch! That is much clearer and such a nice explanation for them.
Rabbi Velvel: your welcome
