Rabbi Schochet: I hope you are having a GREAT day today:) . . How can I make it even better?

Tammy: are there any issues with a Jew saying the pledge allegiance to the flag (USA schools)?

Tammy: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america to the republic to which it stands

Tammy: one nation under G-d with liberty and justice for all"

Rabbi Schochet: It is permitted to recite the pledge, yes

Tammy: Thank you and bye!

G-d
It is forbidden to erase or deface the name of G-d. It is therefore customary to insert a dash in middle of G-d's name, allowing us to erase or discard the paper it is written on if necessary.
