Rabbi Eliezer Shemtov is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He received his Rabbinic ordination in 1984. In 1985 He set out to establish the Chabad Center in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is presently director of Chabad of Uruguay where he resides with his wife Rachel and children.
