Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rabbi Baumgarten continued his learning in Kiryat Gat, Israel, in Montreal, Canada, and in Melbourne, Australia. Rabbi Baumgarten and his wife and daughter presently live in Buenos Aires, where he is the director of afternoon programming for Jewish children.
