Rabbi Yitzchok Tiechtel

Rabbi Yitzchok Tiechtel grew up in Brooklyn, NY and studied in Crown Heights, New Jersey and Venezuela. As a Jewish Peace Corp volunteer, he traveled to Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, fulfilling the Rebbe's mission of sharing Judaism with the global Jewish community. He also served as chaplain at the Fort Campbell military base in Kentucky, and as a chaplain in the correctional facilities in Middle Tennessee.

Rabbi Tiechtel, was appointed as the shliach (emissary) of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, to establish the Chabad Center for Jewish Awareness in Nashville, Tennessee. Rabbi Tiechtel is also the founding clergy and spiritual leader of Congregation Beit Tefilah Chabad in Nashville.

Today, this outpost of Judaism serves as a vibrant center where people of all backgrounds gather to explore, study and experience Judaism at its best.

Rabbi Tiechtel, and his wife Esther, are blessed with five children, and live in Nashville, Tennessee
